This Report was commissioned by the Coega Development Corporation in May 1998 to
investigate the feasibility and bulk wastewater infrastructure and internal
reticulation infrastructure requirements integrated with the supply and phasing
of the Coega IDZ. The report determined the required wastewater infrastructure
and cost of the instrastructure associated with the phased sequence of the Coega
IDZ development together with the impact of the infrastructure on the
surrounding area.
For the sewerage master planning, various drainage
options and the interfacing treatment options with the existing municipal
reclamation works at Fish Water Flats were investigated. Sub-catchments were
identified and planning for the future 96Ml/d Coega waste water treatment works
was undertaken.
