ACE carried out the preliminary design, route planning, environmental impact assessment and detail design for a 850mm diameter steel and GRP bulk water supply pipeline to reinforce the supply to the Markman Industrial area, Coega Industrial and Motherwell residential areas with potable water.
Following a seismic survey along a critical section of the pipeline traversing the Coegakop quarry site,the flexible GRP pipeline section was reinforced with a purpose designed protective wrapping system to withstand seismic action from future quarrying activities to supply core and armour rock for the future deep water port at Coega. Project value = R 10,6 million.
