The Coega Industrial Development Zone (IDZ) is situated on the southeastern coast, some 20 kilometres east of the Port Elizabeth-Uitenhage metropole of South Africa.
The deepwater port will be built on the mouth of the Coega River, and will complement the existing deepwater ports on the South African coastline at Richard’s Bay on the east coast and Saldanha Bay on the west coast.
The entire development will cover 17 000 hectares of land. In the first phase of the project, it is planned that some 6000 hectares will be developed over the next five years.
The Coega IDZ is wellserviced by existing transportation networks. In addition, comprehensive planning is underway to ensure that tenants’ transportation requirements are met. We take pride in our company’s involvement (as detailed in the left sub navigation menu) to make this project become a reality.
