ACE in a Joint Venture project undertook the inspection, corrosion & condition assessment and structural rehabilitation design to 50 bridges on the N2 route in and around Port Elizabeth.
The project included major bridge structures such as the Van Stadens River Arched Bridge.
The design and specification for a R 28,0 million bridge rehabilitation contract which includes corrosion protection, structural strengthening and bearing & joint rehabilitation work, was completed at the end of 2001.
